Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Yammbo (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit blog.yammbo.com (the “Blog”). By using the Blog you agree to the practices described below.

We respect your privacy and only collect the minimum data needed to operate the Blog and deliver the newsletter you opt into.

What we collect

1. Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe to our newsletter through the form in the footer, we collect:

  • Email address — required to send you the newsletter.
  • Timestamp and IP address — recorded for fraud prevention by our email service provider.

The subscription form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse. Turnstile may run a brief background check using non-personal browser signals (it does not use traditional CAPTCHAs or store cookies for tracking).

2. Server logs

Like any website, blog.yammbo.com receives standard request data on every visit:

  • IP address
  • User agent (browser, operating system)
  • Page requested and HTTP status
  • Referrer (the previous URL that linked to us)

These logs are processed by Cloudflare Pages (our hosting provider) and used only for security monitoring and analytics. We do not combine these logs with newsletter data.

3. No advertising or tracking cookies

We do not run any third-party advertising network, behavioral tracker, or analytics cookie on the Blog. The only cookies you may receive come from Cloudflare for anti-bot and routing purposes — see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

How we use your data

  • Email address: only to send the newsletter you subscribed to. Each email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Server logs: only to detect abuse, debug errors, and produce aggregate (non-identifying) traffic statistics.
  • We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services we rely on

These providers process data on our behalf and have their own privacy policies:

CloudflareHosting, CDN, anti-bot (Turnstile)cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
MailrelayNewsletter deliverymailrelay.com/privacy-policy
GitHubSource code repository (no end-user data)docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies

Data retention

  • Newsletter email: kept while you remain subscribed. Unsubscribed emails are removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.
  • Server logs: retained by Cloudflare according to their standard policies (typically 30 days or less).

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email — no need to contact us first.

Children

The Blog is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the record.

Content generation disclosure

Many posts on this Blog are drafted with the assistance of artificial intelligence and published automatically. Editorial oversight is applied to the workflow but individual posts may not be reviewed before publication. This processing happens server-side and does not collect or expose any reader data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Blog when made.
